Joan Hood, age 55 of Eminence, passed away on Thursday, August 22, 2024.   Daughter of the late Joseph Leroy and Myrtle Faye (Terry) Hood, she worked providing services for people with intellectual disabilities at My Homeplace in Shelbyville. She was very strong-willed and took everyone in her family in like a mother. Joan loved spending time with her granddaughters and family. She enjoyed gardening and just sitting outside. She was preceded in death by a son, Jason Hood, and a brother, Glen Thomas Hood.

Daughters:       Crystal Hood (Chris) of Cropper

                        Tammy Sutt (Mike) of Eastwood

 

Sons:                 Christopher Hood of Eminence 

                           Jace Thomas of Eminence

 

Sister:              Alice Faye Hood of Cropper

 

Brother:           George Hood of Eminence

 

Granddaughters:         Hailey Hood, Kaydence Black, Bella Faith Hood,

                                    Emma Banta and Casey Kueker (Jacob)

 

Great-grandson:          Jaxon

 

 

Joan was cremated according to her wishes.  There will be no services at Prewitt Eminence Funeral Home.
