Thelma Mayse, age 96 of Eminence passed away Saturday, August 10, 2024, at her residence.  Daughter of the late Sid & Rosie (Stamper) Griffin, she was a homemaker. Her and Martin were previous custodians and long-time loyal members of Eminence Baptist Church. Thelma loved to go fishing and loved her family deeply. She was married to her loving husband, Martin Mayse, for 61 years and devoted her life to him. She enjoyed fishing and quilting during her free time.

Thelma was preceded in death by her husband, Martin Mayse, daughter, Mary Metts, and Son, Tom Mayse.

Funeral Service:    1 PM on Thursday, August 15, 2024, at Prewitt Eminence Funeral Home, officiated by Rev. Clint Walker.

Honorary Pallbearers:  Happy Pollard and Ed Rockwell

Active Pallbearers:  Steven McCarthy, Martin Metts, Matthew Metts, Doug Jeffries, and Doug Payton.       

Burial:   Smithfield Cemetery

Memorial contributions may be made to Eminence Baptist Church.

Visitation:  10 AM to 1 PM on Thursday, August 15, 2024, at Prewitt Eminence Funeral Home.
