David Casto, age 69 of New Castle, passed away on Monday, July 22, 2024, surrounded by family at Norton Brownsboro Hospital in Louisville.  Born on September 21, 1954 to the late Edward and Hazel (Perkins) Casto, he was a long-time heavy equipment operator. He enjoyed telling stories about his travels for work and the places he had built—including Keeneland Racetrack and Norton Commons. He was an avid UK Basketball fan, loved driving backroads, visiting with family, hunting & fishing.  David was preceded in death by his wife, Bonnie (McDole) Casto; daughter, Christina Bryant; step-son, Thomas Gordon; and brother, Danny Casto.

Funeral Service: 1 PM on Saturday, July 27, 2024 at Prewitt New Castle Funeral Home, officiated by Larry Perkins.

Memorial contributions may be made to WHAS Crusade for Children.     

Visitation: 10 AM until service time on Saturday at Prewitt New Castle Funeral Home.
