David M. Clay, age 69 of Eminence (formerly of Louisville), passed away on Thursday, November 9, 2023.   Son of the late Charles and Lillian Clay, he was a 1972 graduate of Trinity High School. He gave sanctuary to retired chestnut thoroughbred horses at his D&D Drennon Creek Farm.  He was an avid fisherman, enjoyed the BBQ, loved to talk & never met a stranger.  He attended St. John Catholic Church in Eminence. David was preceded in death by a step-grand-daughter, Stephanie Michelle Johnson.

Step-Daughter:    Christel Johnson (Ronald) of Kansas City, MO

Step-Grand-daughter:   Kayla Johnson

Sister:    Rev. Donna Brown of TX

Brother:   Andrew “Andy” Clay of WY

Funeral Service:  11:30 AM on Wednesday, November 15, 2023, at Prewitt New Castle Funeral Home.

Honorary Pallbearer:  Ed Bourne

Active Pallbearers:   Steve Rodgers, Stephen Dunn, Mario Gamboa, Al Green,  Henry Taylor, Chris Hayden and Pee Wee Clifford

Graveside Service: 2PM on Wednesday, November 15, 2023 at Kentucky Veteran Cemetery North, Williamstown.

Memorial Contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.

Visitation:  10 AM until service time on Wednesday at Prewitt New Castle Funeral Home.
