Hillis E. Jones, age 85 of Smithfield, passed away on Tuesday, February 9, 2021.  Son of the late Maurice and Midred (Dunaway) Jones, Hillis was the General Manager of Oldham County Country Club for 33 years and a Kentucky Colonel. He was a member of LaGrange United Methodist Church.

Sister:              Wanda Rayburn of Shelbyville

Brother:           Gene Jones (Nancy) of Carrollton

                        Donny Jones (Carol Dean) of Frankfort

2 Grandchildren         5 Great-Grandchildren

Private services will be held at Prewitt New Castle Funeral Home, officiated by Rev. Carl Rucker.

Interment:     Port Royal Cemetery

Pallbearers: Frankie Coombs, Dennis Coombs, Guy Coombs, Ronnie Downey, Mack Rayburn, David McCarty and Andy Crabb

Form of contributions may be given to the American Heart Association or American Cancer Society.

There will be no visitation at Prewitt New Castle Funeral Home.
