Rhelda Moore, age 98, of New Castle, passed away on Saturday, July 20, 2024. She was the daughter of the late Guy and Katherine (Aynes) Bennett.  Rhelda was preceded in death by her husband Suter Moore; a brother, Robert H. Bennett; and sister, Martha Johnson.

She was the oldest member of the New Castle First Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School. She was elected as Henry County PVA for four terms, serving for over forty years. Rhelda was a homemaker and member of the Bland Ballard Chapter of the DAR. 

Survived by:  Sons:  Glenn Moore (Ruth Ann Mills), Dennis Moore (Jan) of New Castle, and Robert (Peggy) Moore of Lexington; a brother:  WT Bennett of Indianapolis; six Grandchildren and seven Great-Grandchildren

Graveside services will be held

at New Castle Cemetery on Friday, August 16, 2024 at 3 PM.
