Sue Carol (Norton) Powell, age 80 of New Castle, passed away on Monday, January 25, 2021.  Daughter of the late Robert J. and Myrtle (Young) Norton, she was an executive secretary for the transportation cabinet in Frankfort for 26 years and then worked six years for the department of education.  Sue was a member of Smithfield Christian Church.  She was preceded in death by a brother, Junior Young.

1 Great-Granddaughter:  Ellie Rae Edins

Funeral Service:  3 PM on Friday, January 29, 2021 at Prewitt New Castle Funeral Home, officiated by Dr. Tommy Purvis.

Interment:     New Castle Cemetery
