Velma Marie (Clark) Reynolds, age 84 of Shelbyville (formerly of Henry County), passed away on Tuesday, April 6, 2021 at The Masonic Home in Shelbyville.  Born in Campbellsburg on March 8, 1937 to the late Charles and Mammie (Downey) Clark, she was the only girl born out of 12 children.  Velma was a homemaker and a member of Prevailing Word & Worship Center in Shelbyville. Velma was preceded in death by her first husband, James Everett Smith; her second husband, Everett Clinton Reynolds; and eleven brothers: Ervin “Hank”, Orville (Goose), Hubert, Otis, WD (Bill), Russell (Shike), Earl, Raymond, Scotty, Cecil, and Howard Clark.

Daughters:                   Debra (Smith) Foster and husband, Jeff, of Shelbyville

                                    Stacy (Smith) Hale of Poseyville, Indiana

 

5 Grandchildren:         Holly Whitaker (Kiley) of Shelbyville

                                    Megan Watson (Miranda Jones) of Shelbyville

                                    Nathan Banks of Mt. Carmel, IL

                                    Andrew Banks (Keish) of Poseyville, IN

                                    Lena Courtney (Allen) of Mt. Carmel, IL

 

8 Great-Grandchildren: Emily, Chloe, Kisha, Michelle, Bryan, Shyan, Brooklyn and Maddie

 

Funeral Service:  2 PM on Friday, April 9, 2021 at Prewitt New Castle Funeral Home, officiated by Bro. Larry Montgomery, associate pastor of Henry Christian Church.

 

Interment:     New Castle Cemetery

 

Pallbearers:    Kiley Ray Whitaker, Casey Ray Robinson, Matthew Lee Robinson, Danny Clark, Allen Courtney, Nathan Ray Banks and Andrew Banks

 

Form of contributions may be given to the Masonic Home of Shelbyville.

 

Visitation:    5-9 PM on Thursday, April 8, 2021 at Prewitt New Castle Funeral Home.
