Barbara Councell, age 61, passed away at her residence in Woodruff, South Carolina on Thursday, October 3, 2024. Formerly of New Castle, KY, she was born to the late Will L. & Helen (Bryant) Scott. She was a former member of the Main Street Baptist Church in New Castle, and most recently attended the Church of God of Prophecy in Woodruff, SC. Very dedicated and involved with the church, she enjoyed working with the children and loved to sing with her friends in the “Sisters 3 Music Group.” Barbara enjoyed fishing with her siblings and loved traveling to the beach & mountains. She was previously the coordinator at Homestead Nursing Home in New Castle, and then Oak Leaf Village in SC. Barbara was the project manager at her family business, Councell Machine Shop in South Carolina. In addition to her parents, Barbara was preceded in death by a brother, William Robinson, and her in-laws, Frank Davis & Phyllis Councell.
