Mattie Lee (Dixon) Mertz, age 72 of Carrollton, passed away on Tuesday, September 24, 2024, at her residence. Daughter of the late Perry and Fannie (Downey) Dixon , she was a homemaker and a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Prestonville.  Mattie was preceded in death by two sons, Tommy & Michael Mertz; grand-daughters: Tonya Renae Mertz and Leslie Nicole Mertz; great-grandson, Phoenix Lee Payton; and great-grand-daughter, Nikata Rose.

Sons:           Timmy Mertz (Paige) of Owenton

                   Charles E. “Hippy” Mertz (Rhonda) of LaGrange

Sisters:        Martha Frazier (Robert) of Carrollton

Funeral Service: 11 AM on Friday, October 4, 2024 at Prewitt New Castle Funeral Home.

Memorial contributions may be made towards funeral expenses.      

Interment:  New Castle Cemetery
