Rebecca "Becky" (Allen) Skeen, Age 56 of Jericho, passed away on Wednesday, January 8, 2025. Born in Hazard, Kentucky, she was the daughter of James Marcus and Johnnie Faye (Johnson) Allen.  Graduating from Midway College, she obtained an associate’s degree in early childhood education to follow her passion for children. A loving and nurturing soul, she was a Pre-K teacher at Butterfly Garden Academy in Campbellsburg.  She cared for children throughout her entire career and was well known for her years of work at Joy’s Learning Center and New Castle Elementary School. In addition to childcare, she worked at Cedar Lake Lodge for a few years, where she fell in love with caring for the residents there. She and her husband, Eddie, enjoyed riding motorcycles, taking trips together and riding the back roads in their 1966 Mustang convertible. She enjoyed being crafty, creating diamond paintings and collecting gnomes, fairy houses and owls. Becky was preceded in death by her father, James Marcus.

                   James Allen of Alabama

Funeral Service: 11 AM on Tuesday, January 14, 2025, at Prewitt New Castle Funeral Home, with Dr. Kate Anderson, Officiating. 

Interment: New Castle Cemetery
