Ken “Kennie” Maynard Heightchew, age 88 of New Castle, passed away on Monday, February 24, 2025.  Son of the late Maynard & Ida (Ebersbakers) Heightchew, he was a lifelong farmer.  He was the co-owner/operator of Henry County Supply, along with his brother & sister. He loved horse pulls & rodeos, and enjoyed a meal at Our Best Restaurant every day the doors were open!  He was a United States Army Veteran and a member of Sulphur Baptist Church.  Ken was preceded in death by a brother, DC “Calhoun” Heightchew, and sister, Agnes Smither.

Wife of 66 years:         Nancy Carol (Powell) Heightchew of New Castle

Daughters:                    Sherry L. Crowe of New Castle

                                      Debbie C. Meek (Andy) of New Castle

Sons:                             Steve M. Heightchew (Rhonda) of New Castle

                                      Terry L. Heightchew (Nina) of New Castle

Kennie was cremated according to his wishes and there will be no services at Prewitt New Castle Funeral Home.
