Linda C. Golden, age 77 of LaGrange (formerly of New Castle) passed away on Sunday, February 23, 2025, at Norton Brownsboro Hospital. Daughter of the late Jasper Adrian and Nellie Bly (Craig) Cays, she retired from Eminence Speaker after nineteen years of service as an order processor.  She also worked for Cracker Barrell and the Rawlings Group.  Linda was a member of 18 Mile Baptist Church in LaGrange where she loved to teach Sunday School for little children.  She was dedicated to the City of New Castle and enjoyed serving on the City Counsel.  She loved to sew, dance, play Bunco with her beloved card group, and laugh out loud with her many friends!  Above all, she adored spending time with her great-grandbabies.  Linda was preceded in death by her brother, Carl “Shorty” Cays; and her four sisters: Jewell Dean Roberts, Betty Carol Cays, Vickie Lynn Cays and Verna Trautwein Stivers.

Grand-Daughter:   Kristina Barnes (Jack Jr.) of Sulphur

Great-Grandchildren:  Jaxen & Jaylynn Barnes

Funeral Service:   11 AM on Thursday, February 27, 2025 at Prewitt New Castle Funeral Home, officiated by Bro. Bob Scott of 18 Mile Baptist Church.

Visitation:  4-8 PM on Wednesday, February 26, 2025 at Prewitt New Castle Funeral Home, and from 10 AM until service time on Thursday.
