Tommie (Hartman) Houston, age 102 of Eminence, passed away Friday, December 13, 2024.  Daughter of the late Dr. John Chilton & Minnie Thomas (Coombs) Hartman, she received her bachelor’s degree from Transylvania University, where she was in the Tri-Delta Sorority.  Tommie was a dedicated homemaker and was proud to raise her three sons. Her favorite name was “Memama” to her six grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.   She was a member of Eminence Christian Church for over 75 years, where she formerly served on various boards, taught Sunday School, and led the youth group.  Tommie was an avid golfer, though she learned the game late in life.  She was also an avid Univeristy of Kentucky sports fan.  She would not allow her age to determine her attitude or activities.  She lived a full life, being surprisingly tech-savvy.  She shared texts & Facebook with her grandchildren and her friends. She lived at Magnolia Springs East where she loved her caregivers and friends and was well loved by them. Tommie was preceded in death by her 1st husband, Dr. Robert Lurton Houston, Jr.; her 2nd husband, D. Kent Floyd; and a sister, Helen Hartman Brammell.
